Placing caster cups under your piano helps protect your floors from the intense weight and pressure concentrated through a piano’s legs, especially with heavy grand or upright models. Without caster cups, pianos can cause dents, scratches, or even long-term damage to hardwood, laminate, or vinyl flooring. Caster cups also provide added stability by preventing your piano from shifting or rolling; particularly important on smooth surfaces.
